Talking about Masciarelli Tenute Agricole means telling a piece of the history of Italian viticulture. The company was founded in 1981 by the intuition of Gianni Masciarelli, charismatic character, pioneer of the rebirth of viticulture in Abruzzo and the new national wine scene, managed to make the two most significant vines in the region, Trebbiano and Montepulciano, excellences known all over the world. Combining rural tradition and the enhancement of native vines, Masciarelli has shown how local values can reach the world through wine.
In a few years, Masciarelli has achieved international success and is now counted among the 100 great Italian wineries. With over 60 plots of vineyards between sea and mountains in the 4 provinces of Abruzzo and a highly specialized staff, the company produces 7 lines of wines, for a total of 22 labels, as well as organic oils and grappa. Through Gianni’s Selection, it also distributes a selection of labels from the most interesting wine territories of Europe, from Portugal to Burgundy and Champagne, from Franciacorta to Moselle, to Tokaj.
