Born in Sicily from the initiative of a family that with passion has been able to revolutionize the style and perception of Sicilian wine in the world.
A name that means "woman on the run" and refers to the story of a queen who found refuge in that part of Sicily where today are the vineyards.
Donnafugata in Sicily has 3 historic production sites. The ancient family cellars in Marsala, where the aging and bottling processes take place. The winery of Contessa Entellina, with vineyards and olive groves. Khamma winery in Pantelleria, with vineyards of Zibibbo cultivated with Pantelleria sapling (Unesco World Heritage).
In 2016, Donnafugata realized the dream of being able to produce in eastern Sicily, the wines of the prestigious Etna, Cerasuolo and Frappato di Vittoria appellations.
