Corteaura Franciacorta was founded in 2009 by Federico Fossati who, having grown up in Veneto, wanted to realize a wine making dream: to produce a quality wine in a territory of vocation. For this reason he travelled all over Italy identifying in Franciacorta the territory that more than any other would have produced for his wines the richest and widest range of nuances. The meeting with Pierangelo Bonomi, strong of a long experience in the field of Franciacorta, made possible the creation of the first production.
The range of Franciacorta DOCG includes Brut, Rosè, Pas Dosè , Satén and millesimati. It was decided to extend the aging on the lees compared to that established by the Franciacorta Consortium to create long-lived cuvée and great expression. The long aging, of over 30 months also for the Brut, against the 18 indicated as minimum by the Disciplinary, allows to express the best quality. We chose the turtle as a symbol because it symbolizes slowness and extraordinary longevity. Here in Franciacorta time is an indispensable tool for preparing cuvées and waiting for evolution to take place. Slowly. Because the slowness with which we give life to our wine is the indispensable prerequisite for its pleasantness and its duration, year after year.
